Dear Senior Patrol Leader's and Scoutmaster's,
Currently, the Order of the Arrow has a program set up that allows for troop representation within the lodge itself. The Troop Representative fulfills this position by acting as the youth liaison between Woapalanne Lodge #43 and the troop. This is a youth leadership position that counts for the Star, Life, and Eagle requirement. The OA Troop Representative duties are as follows:
· Serve as a communication link between the lodge and the troop
· Encourages scouts to actively participate in community service projects.
· Promotes and records service to America in Troop.
· Runs or assists with leadership training in the troop
· Encourages Arrowmen to actively participate in the lodge functions and seal their membership in the OA by becoming a Brotherhood Member.
This position was created with the troop in mind. It should be an older scout that younger scouts look up to. It should also be someone who lives by the scout Oath, Law, OA Obligation, and shows scout spirit.
